Wow! Given his history as a dissembler and a libeler (Steven Pagones and the Tawana Brawley nightmare), as well as his experience as an informer for the FBI and given that he never went to a divinity school yet calls himself a Reverend, I'd say the man is a cheat and a liar.

He is a racist. A racist against whites and a racist against his own people. He thinks black people need "extra help" to make it today. That they cant make it on their own. By telling this lie, he keeps the blacks down.

Chris Mathews had, a couple years ago, a town meeting type of deal, with Rev. Jackson on it. A girl stood up, black, and stated how she had put herself through law school, was now a lawyer, etc. She was doing well. The Rev Jackson then informed her how society should have helped her, that she shouldn't have been able to make it that far on her own.

He seems like a "wanna attention" type of man. Wants society to acknowledge him as a Martin L King type of legend. Going back to your question, good for the people he defends, bad for the people he offends.

I am probably going to get a violation notice for this one, but bad guy. He has no intention of trying to right the wrongs of society, or fix race relations. Because those problems are what gets him his money. He is a race baiter, part of the problem not part of the solution.

well, i dont want to step on any toes here, but i think the way he handled the talk show thing is way to serious. if a black person had said it, there would be no problem, and if you hear the whole thing, he called them nappy headed because their hair was just that, hoes was a bit overboard but it was still taken way out of proportion. hes a good guy but he is a little quick to jump to racism

He's definitely a bad guy...worthy of villain status...but I guess he's got a good PR operation going for him. I'd like to see him ride off in the sunset with the Reverend Jesse Jackson.

Better yet, let's send them both to Iraq.
