Start RUN type in CMD.
from there type in IPCONFIG /ALL
That will show you all IP's on that machine. If it starts with 169.254.X.X then you need to reboot and hope that the network card will get assiged another IP. If that doesn't work, then you need to find out how the computer gets it's IP address. Either from a router (DHCP) or it is statically assigned. Ask another question when you find this out.

Click Start then Run and type cmd and press OK. Type ipconfig /renew
That will renew your IP address.

goto run enter "cmd" then press enter.
go into the window type "ipconfig/release"
then once thats done type "ipconfig/renew"
