How do you add a picture image as a link!...?

I have a homework assignment thats due.My professor wants my image to be a link.For instance my photo he rather have it as a X ,he wants to click on that X to show my image.I dont no how to do that.Can nyone please help me!

If your image code looks like this:

then just change it to be like this:

Upload it to a webpage (there are some free ones, also you could use the web space your ISP provides for your use)
The link will look like this:
http://www.webpagename.com/folder/picturename.jpg
