Wipe everything down with vinegar. The smell repells them You need to do this often though, until they get the point and leave. My mother swears by this. Also, make sure you wipe your windows and doorways with it. Good luck!

Kill them. You do this by dusting & vacuuming corners, moldings (especially above moldings) and taking preventive steps to keep them out. Like not keeping windows/doors open without screens. Spiders will get in here & there (especially in the Fall) anyway... but, go on spider-hunts and kill one or two, and you prevent 10-20 webs within a few months.

Two things ...
Spiders need to eat to live. If you have many spiders in your house making webs, they're eating something. There are many more of those somethings than spiders to support the spiders. What's worse, creepysomethings or spiders?
A friend told me to put horse chestnuts in each corner of each room to keep spiders away, when I lived for a short time in a spider-infested house. It worked. I don't know why, though!

Sealing out cracks and crevices where they can enter, cleaning often including vacuuming, and eliminating hiding spots..those dark inaccessible spaces.
