Normally they return it within a few weeks. If you have not heard from her in 30 days, I would give her a call.

If you haven't received a check in 10 days from when you moved, I would call. Be nice and ask about when you can expect your deposit refund? You should have had a walk through before you left and been told when you'll get your deposit or if there are damages and you won't get it? Call. It's been 10 days. (and be nice) The less attitude the better. Just say,' I really need the money, and was hoping it was coming very soon?" good luck.

Think it took me like 2-3 weeks.
I would give it until the end of the month.
You might also not get it back because they found damage, but they would give you a statement telling you what was damaged.

the law usually allows them 30 days based on the state...if it is comming on May and still no return call them...if they kept it for damages you are entitled to an itemized list of the damages.

Most states give the landlord thirty days to get it to you. There is always the chance that you won't get it all.

You'll probably never see it. They ususally find a reason to keep it, even if they have to make it up. We had the carpet cleaned, scrubbed the fridge, etc & took pictures of it all & still never got ours back.

They have to go through the home and determine damages. Upon rework, they'll issue you the difference. Give it a month.
