My vote: TEXAS!!!
I'm from Louisiana (born and raised till age 12 in Slidell, moved to Opelousas, then to Shreveport, then attended LSU in Baton Rouge for my Bachelor's. Left there at age 23.)
I now live in Texas--Harris-Brazoria County line near Houston. I'm about to move to Austin and get a new feel for a totally different area of this state.
I hope the folks in Louisiana don't kill me for saying this: Texas is the greatest state! I love it here! It's not a rejection or disrespectful of Louisiana, but I just feel more comfortable in Texas and around Texans. At age 28--which means I've only been here for five years--I hope the Texans don't kill me for being so quick (and proud) to refer to myself as a bonified Texan now!
Louisiana born, Texas proud! Or, maybe, if Louisiana is the greatest state, then Texas is the greatest country! God Bless Texas!

not problem-free determination,Louisiana is my neighboring state and that i like it.I lived in Brandonburg Kentucky for numerous years and loved it also.Texas,I actually have some realitives there,yet i imagine its an excellent state. i'm able to't chosen from them,they're all large states with many reward.

yea i am from lousiana but i see y u had a hard time i mean growing up on slidell and Op had to be sooooo boring lol but i still love lousiana mainly lafayette and N.O i will soon be moving to Baton rouge though

This is my 1000th answer!! My vote is for Texas, duh. I live in Houston (Katy), and I love it. I know that our beach (Gtown) is nasty but there is always something to do, parties to go to, the only bad thing is traffic which gets worse by the minute.
