I'm curious as to why you posted this is under Politics & Government.

Anyhoo...compassion does not equal weakness. There is a difference between being compassionate, and being a sucker. Too many can take compassion and empathy completely for granted, and take you for a ride. Obviously it depends on the circumstances; this is a very general question. It doesn't hurt to keep your eyes open, that's all.

Is this the place for this question?? Seriously I dont know why that is. I think there is some strength to gain from compassion, especially if youre the only one that shows it. When youre the one person who listens or helps someone out of a shitty situation they'll do anything for you.

only a weak person would perceive compassion as weakness. Henry Ford was one of the weakest industrialists we had because he saw things that way

I believe only the less evolved individuals would perceive compassion as a weakness.

I'm sure the Cons will have some articulate responses to this one!

And, for those who say they don't like immigrants, guess what?

All of the people shaking a cup in my face for money, are Americans.

Mercy is a weakness for the evil.
Honorable people gain respect with mercy.

Depends on what you are referring to...

I have plenty of compassion for those in my country that are TRYING to make a life for themselves, who DON'T rely on the taxpayers to support their irresponsible behavior, and who are here in this country LEGALLY....

The other....not so much.
