Hi honey, i have cruised down the nile a few times and i am sure its one of the best holidays of my life, so much to see and many interesting people, food is fantastic and the crew and captain are more than happy to help and make sure your cruise is enjoyable, its easy to book a cruise from many tour opperators in egypt and your hotel, there are also many stop off places that you can go and eat or just take in the sites or shop.

If it's a nice cruise and started from Luxor, It's like a dream. The people in Aswan are one of the most kind people on earth. Try to watch the beauty of the Nile in the early morning on board specially when you go closer to Aswan. Keep a hat or something covering your head in the direct sun and take a comfortable shoes which is not slippery. During the visit you'll have to walk in different grounds. In Luxor (west) you'll go inside tombs on a slope. In some places inside tombs it's not allowed to use flash camera, you can check if you want to use the video camera. It's the trip of your life time.

I done that twice both great holidays. The first time the best holiday I have ever had. The children in the street like ball point pens so take box to hand out. Drifting down the Nile at 2 in the morning an a moonlit night is just wonderful

Have to agree with previous posts...make sure it's a 5* Ship as they are usually small ( To get through the Lock gates etc). Again you usually wake up each morning moored up next to the Site you will be visiting.
Top tip:- Don't go during UK summer time ....very , very hot and the Valley of the Kings is not the place to be at midday...Trust me!
Other than that very nice place to visit.....Dinner in the Original Cataract hotel in Aswan was very nice and impressive....Not the NEW Caracact

good as long as you are going 5 star inclusive, you will get to see 3 Temples Isna,Edfu and Comombo go to myegypt co.uk

.If you buy anything from the market, check the goods. I bought some clothes & when I got back on the boat the only thing in the paper wrapper was more paper

3* star is no good the ships are bad, go 5* its great you get to see 3 temples on the way to Asuan.

it is hot, there is hardly any place (or reason) to get off.
It is fascinating - particularly if you're in the company of people you enjoy traveling with.
It smells funky, but you'll get used to it
I highly recommend it.
