An injustice has been done. It is because of racism. Wheres Al Sharpton??

Sandra B - I think you need to know that when those boys were originally accused Al Sharpton was all over it - like white on rice - (hahha) calling the boys racist... THAT is what he has to do with this.

Al Sharpton is the true racist who will never be brought to justice because of the color of his skin.It would take another colored person to bring him down for what he did to those boys.Because if a white person goes after him and tries to make him answer for it he'l be considered a racist and arrested for hate crime and Al Sharpton will come out of it smelling like roses.
I think the word 'Racist' isn't used anymore to define an injustice done to another person.Instead I think most people are using that word as a means to get away with doing it themselves to someone else. For example,an employee wants her brother to work with her but to do that a spot has to open up so her brother get hired. To do this she gets a fellow co-worker fired by claiming he's racist and because he happens to be white and she isn't it sticks. He's fired and her brother gets the job.
Believe it or not the word 'Racist' is now used as a way for others to commit unfairness and acts of hostility towards innocent people without question.
But if this continues I predict it's going to eventually be like the kid that cried wolf.He cried wolf so much when there wasn't one there that when a wolf really did show up to snatch the sheep no one believed him.The word racist if used to bring down someone because it's an easy way to do it will eventually lose it's power and it won't mean anything at all.So for those who are being discriminated against won't have a way to stop it because people won't believe it anymore
Approaching this avenue of thought with an open mind will cause most people to be offended and therefore won't even think about what I really mean.Because I'm white I don't fit into the category of someone who can talk openly about racism without being racist myself. So just talking about it will make most people overlook the meaning and just gasp in horror calling me a racist or a bigot when really nothing could be farther from the truth.
But will anyone go after Al Sharpton for wanting to fry innocent boys knowing full well the girl was lying?Or will anyone have the guts to say anything about it publicly?I would be really surprised if anyone did.Al Sharpton has that magic word on his side which will for the time being save him from criticism of any kind. And he knows it.

Al Sharpton will not apologize to the Duke players because the revelation of their innocence does not further his "cause". Those guys were railroaded and when it benefitted Sharpton and Jesse Jackson they were all over it, convicting the boys in the media. But now that they have been proclaimed innocent, all you hear are crickets from those two.

I hope the Duke player's families sue the hell out of the state of NC and Duke University. However, they did have poor judgement. Hiring a couple strippers for that party was just asking for trouble.

Al Sharpton exemplifies why racism is a problem in society today. It might go away for the most part if people, like Sharpton, would leave it alone and not constantly try to bring it in the the media spotlight. He, of course, will not appologize because only white people can be racist, therefore he has nothing to appologize for. The hipocracy of the situation constantly amazes me.

It was a false accusation by an obviously disturbed person. She's the one who should apologize for putting forward false accusations. Also, the people who prosecuted the case knowing it was a weak one. They should apologize. What does Al Sharpton have to do with this? Just because the woman who make the allegations of rape in the duke lacrosse case was black and they were white, it doesn't make it a race issue.

Al Sharpton is comedian tale. Black individuals want a frontrunner who honestly cares approximately coaching them and not coaching them to spend their lives hating anybody, and blaming the full u . s . for there problems. There are some black human beings obtainable who've executed okay for themselves. yet, they did it by working difficult, aiming intense, and giving it there all. they did no longer like it surpassed to them. i'm white and human beings in means at the instant are not doing something to help me and my ancesters did no longer very own slaves. yet AL and Jessie are not going to help me any. no longer all whites owned slaves. Alot of whites got here to this u . s . long after the slavery days or perhaps after the 70's and eighty's , etc

Al Sharpton is too much of a racist to apologize

I think that the person that lied on the 3 boys should apologize--unless Al Sharpton is that person, how would they feel that justice was served on their behalf?

There is nothing he can gain by doing that. His purpose seems to be getting TV air time and self promotion. After he has wrung out the "15 minutes of fame" from a story, he moves on to the next opportunity.

That is a very good question!!!! I thought the same thing....that man needs to eat some humble pie & admit he was wrong for calling them boys "rapists"!!! Only because they were white did he get involved & now he looks stupid! As do all the others in NC that were rallying right behind him!
