I am considering buying a mouse for my laptop.
The touch pad is a little awkward sometime, especially when playing games like Yahoo pool.
But I'm feeling a little unfaithful to my laptop if I buy a mouse. I mean, the main attraction of the laptop is that it's all right here in one compact unit. Buying a mouse seems a little like a hypocrite. Do many people with laptops buy a mouse for it?

properly I used to HATE touch pads yet now i like them, I even have continuously had a working laptop or pc with a mouse so as that's what I favored. Now my pc has a splash pad and a instantaneous mouse, yet I chosen to stick with the touch pad. i discover after a pair of days it grew to develop into relay ordinary to administration. That being stated on public computers I want a mouse. I even have my touch pad set up how i like it, which isn't the way that maximum laptops a minimum of at my previous college have been set up.

I work in the IT business. If I were to attempt to deploy a laptop to one of my customers WITHOUT a mouse, I would be putting my life in danger. Most people dispise the touchpads. I keep a drawer of mice just for that purpose. (Seems like at less every other day somebody loses their mouse, and I need a replacement).

So, no. Adding a mouse to your laptop is not being unfaithful. Everybody does it. (Except me - I prefer the touchpad, and even use a touchpad rather then a mouse on my desktop. Weird, right?)

I find that when I need my laptoptto be a compact unit the touch pad works fine, for things like papers and surfing the net, but when I am using it for games, I am sitting in one place and using it like a desktop so that mouse works good.
My suggestion is not to let the computer seem like a person, it might feel like it is sometimes but it isn't.

I have a mouse for my laptop. I usually sit at a table and work so this is better for me. However, if I am in the livingroom or bedroom then I use the touch pad. I really can't stand it though!

a touch pad is better. You only buy it once.A touch pad is where you can touch somethin and the little arrow type thing or hand you see on the computer/labtop goes to that spot, but sometimes if you press down too much in a area,it won't go to where you want it to go.A mouse you have to keep on moving it,and sometimes it does'nt work, then when tghe ball on the bottom of the mouse wears out You gotta keep on buying them and knowing that mouses cost alot of money, well you average it out.
So that's the reason you should get a touch pad.
Hopes this info works out for you.
Good luck!

Oh yes. If you use the laptop in one place a lot, an external mouse is much better to use. When I take my laptop somewhere and use it on my lap then I don't use it.

most people use a mouse with the laptop, you're right, it kind of interferes with the concept but it's necessary.
i don't mind the touchpad for simple tasks, but when it comes to precision i need a mouse and i'm using it.

Most people do buy a smaller mouse for their laptops.

It doesn't cost that much, and it is a great convenience when you need it.

Quite a lot, I couldn't cope with just the touchpad.

On the other hand, I have a very small mouse.
