I was even dissapointed with C&C 3... anyone else agree with me?

From the RTS points of view your looking down at it.
I was playing C&C 3 and i cranked the settings up as high as they go and played a skirmish against easy AI so it wouldn't lag bad and the graphics are amazing and surpass and RTS to date.
Depending on your computer I'd try this.

Because of the number of units that may appear on screen at one time, many RTS cut back on certain details in general to avoid slowdown. Since units appear small on the screen, it wouldn't matter all that much anyways. In the end, it's not an important detail because one can only admire the graphics so much before all that is left is gameplay.

Well i know the ones in supreme commander are stellar, maybe its because you don't have the best computer and are playing on low or minimal graphic setups??? I don't know but I think the explosions in supreme commander are awesome especially with settings maxed!!!
