I have gotten veneer cut by Homer's, but it was out of a full 4 by 8 that I bought from them. Unless it's in the seconds box in the back you might have material left over for some bird houses or window boxes this spring. Or with a little edge trim and varnish/stain/paint, that book shelf on the wall, step stool for the kids in the bathroom, extra slat for the kids mattress springs they broke jumping on last sleepover, you got the idea. Give a kid a board and they will make something out of it! So you know, plywood that has a veneer finish has more layers in it than standard stuff. This means that it not only looks and finishes better, but is stronger with less flex too. Even if it is covered with primer and paint, it's a good product to use. Especially if you're mounting a machine to compress automotive springs with at the local Midas Shop.

Yes they will cut the plywood for you.
make sure you have your measurements correct for the cut. Your measurements are not correct you still pay for the wood.
Usually they do first or even second cut for free if you buy the wood from them and then it's a small fee.

Where I shop they do one or two cuts free and ask you to pay for more cuts, but it depends on who is working in the department, they may not charge you. They don't guarantee absolute precision, but I have never had problems.

Yes they will. Have your dimensions ready for them. They make the first cut for free and charge 50 cents for every cut thereafter at my home depot.

Yes they usually will do at least one cut for free and then charge for additional cuts. Of course if you smile pretty the guy cutting will probably make additional cuts for free.

Home Depot will cut it for you as long as it is straight and doesn't produce very small pieces. Just be aware that it will not be exact.
