I personally don't care for the name but there alot of beautiful names out there for a girl....but if you like it then express how you feel with your husband. This will be your daughters name forever and you don't want to have any regrets later.....

Naomi is a very good name. Of course, you could put another name with it and call her by the other name. For example, name her Naomi Elizabeth and call her Elizabeth, Liza, Lizzy, or Beth or something like that. But, I like the name Naomi, and just because Naomi (of the Bible) became bitter (Mara), doesn't mean that your Naomi would become bitter.

I think Naomi is a great name for a baby. But try being open to other options from your husband. I'll reccomend some too.

It means pleasant. Don't let people deter you because of how it's spelled. The word lived is devil backwards, the name Dennis is sinned backwards. I now a Naomi who is quite pleasant.
Afterall, you name her what you choose, you're the mommy. I am sure you and her daddy will come up with something you both like.

Naomi Campbell did fine with it. I have a cousin named Naomi who grew up to be spectacular. I think it's one of the most melodious names I can think of.

Oh my gosh! I love the name Naomi. Just because your husband does not like the story of Ruth and Naomi (although I do not see why he does not like it) doesn't mean you can't name your little angel that.
