Hello there and thanks for looking, i have a strange minor problem i just cant work out, my computer first came with 512mb ram, which for what i used had no real memory problems, i recently upgraded to 2gb ram, which as i posted here before that it only reads 1.75gb, 2 people told me the computer took 256mb from it to use for graphics which i thought was real strange since it never did that before even at 1.5gb but couldnt go higher, but im no pro so i just have to believe what i have been told,

now back to my main question:

i recently installed internet explorer 7 to see what its like and actually i think its cool, but for some reason when i visit multiple pages it chews into the memory like a family dinner, not sure if anyone has noticed but once memory is lowered the (file, edit, view) section of explorer dissapears, which never had that problem before until E7, i just want to know is there a problem with my ram or E7 uses alot of memory, any ideas for what i can do, please???

I don't know the details of your computer, but if your box has a seperate video card and is NOT sharing system RAM like you say, then there is another problem why you don't see all 2GB of your RAM. I know that many motherboards "claim" to support 2GB of RAM, but they actually don't. Also, if you are using all the memory slots for your 2GB of RAM (not just 2 like I am), then many motherboards have to lower the speed to access the RAM when there are so many devices connected.

I was refered to Firefox instead of IE. And the loading time was remarkable. I will agree though, that on your system, that is slow. Man... It has been my own experience that IE is slow anyway. And it has been my own experience that it sure lets in the "adware". This is usually inside the "cookies" that get saved on your computer after visiting a web site. Check to see if your anti-virus software detects adware. Even if it does, like Norton, it may not remove it. Get a program that will remove adware and spyware. You are probably infected with thousands (literally) of files having adware. This will definitely slow things down. I also recomment switching to Firefox as the browser (your choice). I love it. It is way faster and blocks all adware. You should not have to reinstall anything. Especially not the whole darn system. I believe you don't need to do that. Hope this helps.
