The reason they say 9 months is because most woman only find out that they are pregnant at 4-6 weeks. A woman is pregnant for 10 months ( 40 weeks). Labor can come anytime between 36 weeks and 42 weeks.
The first trimester from 0-12 Weeks
The second trimester 13-28 Weeks
The third trimester 29-40 Weeks

Months are generally counted as calendar months, and weeks as 7 days, so they don't match up because not all months are the same rate. If you want to get overly technical there are 4.34821.... weeks per month.
If your LMP is January 1st then that is the start of what is generally considered month 1 -even though you are not yet pregnant.
That is also the start of week 0 or 1 depending on how you count *lol*
On January 8th you are 1 or 2 weeks pregnant depending on your count
On February 1st you are 1 month pregnant. And on March 1st you are two months pregnant, even though February is shorter than January.
This is why doctors almost always use weeks, and I believe most start with week 0 but I am not really sure.
But for even more amusement Naegle's rule which is most commonly used to determine due dates WAS originally 280 days because Naegle, with no research whatsoever decided pregnancy should last 10 lunar months because women have a 28 day cycle (all of us, right?)
Now that rule has been adjusted to 283 days which is more than 40 weeks.
There is another rule more midwives use, that is also more popular in Europe that I can never remember the name of. It has a common woman's name. Anyway her rule is first pregnancies are 293 days, and second pregnancies are 290 days, and all subsequent ones are I think 285. It was supposed to be based on research.
Anyway long story short the baby will come with the baby is ready.

Pregnancy is really measured in weeks. For the average person though, , it's usually easier to comprehend how far along by months. 40 weeks is 9 months and 1 week. Trimesters are 13 weeks, which are 3 months long. That totals 39 weeks. I can never find a straight answer as to which trimester that 40th week belongs in.

easily i have self belief that maximum individuals experience hotter because of the being pregnant, besides the very shown reality that you're nonetheless early on. As you get better and your blood volume and fluids enhance (no longer to practice including weight onto your body), you'll likely experience hotter as antagonistic to being chilly.
