i have sprint and for some reason my texts arent sending at the moment, i have unlimited so i know its not that. and i was sending them earlier so idk whats up. but it keeps telling me it failed cause of "ack time out" and i wanna know what that is. ive restarted my fone like 4 times and it still wont send em. please HELP, i tried researching but i cant find anything useful!

ACK time out means "Acknowledgement Time Out", meaning that the system (the computer on sprint's end) didn't acknowledge your SMS in the time allotted. This is probably because of a communication error, and they'll have it fixed soon. If this persists for more than 24 hours, I'd call Sprint and complain.

Ack-ack was the fire from small calibre anti aircraft guns (40mm and below), so called because of the sound such guns made when firing. It's also sometimes used to mean the guns themselves in a collective sense.

You could be in a bad reception area. The message means that the carrier did not respond that the message was received.
