If England can somehow beat South Africa and then West Indies, then they will get to the Semi Finals
If this does happen, they may have enough momentum to win the last two games probably against Aus in semis then Sri Lanka or NZ in final.
When confident they can beat any one and have recently beat Aust and NZ
But realistically they prob wont beat South Africa and as for WI, is a toss up.
Conclusion, yes England can World Cup, but dont hold your breath

basically the top order is not firing.
Vaughan is in a bad run of form and Ian bell is like a snail.
with regards to your question, they cannot win without a top order but i think that there is a solution. if you put Pietersen to open the batting with somebody like Flintoff, they may utilize the power plays and give Vaughan a chance against the lesser bowlers when the ball is a bit older so he can score some runs as well. this is the only way that they will ever having a chance of even getting past the super eights stage.

Not a hope, they will get thrashed against South Africa and by the way I am English but a realist not a fantasist like the players and the management of this laughable team. They should come home now before being embarrassed any more, a so called top class team who so far have struggled to beat teams that are a collection of jokers and ex patriots who were not good enough represent the countries of their births do not deserve our support any more.

If at all England have to qualify for the semi finals, they have to win the remaining 2 games, which seems to be uphill task for them. Question of winning the world cup arises only if they qualify for the semi finals.

No chance, based on there performance against Bangladesh. Anyone who bets on England to win will be be a very rich man if they do.

No chance the team is made of of too many mummy boy's who are pampered and do not know how to roll up their sleeves when the going gets rough.
Take their teddy bears away from them and we might have a fighting chance of reaching semi at least.

England? Nope. No chance.

The ENG team hasn't been aggressive at all during this series. SL, RSA, NZ, AUS are teams ahead of ENG in every respect.

It all depends on the South Africa match cos if they can win that theyll get more confidence for West Indies and who knows, but in short no.
