Have you gotten into Juliette's head? What did Ben promise her? Or has she genuinely given up ever getting off the island, and is now being groomed to take over Ben's place if/when he dies?
I thought I heard a helicopter in the previews, did anyone else notice it? And whatever happened to the Russians or whoever they were from last season?

Yeah, I'm not sure if they were Russians either, but they were foreign and were cold and it sounded Russian. They were involved in this whole Dharma Initiative thing.
Penny/Penelope comes from a rich/very rich family. I'm not sure if she's looking for Desmond in a good way, or in a bad way. Who the heck knows what she may be thinking. She may be out for revenge, or her Dad may have brought her into the "family business" - which MAY be the Dharma Initiative.
Does anyone know if the woman the Russians/Scientists phoned was Penny/Penelope? I don't remember.
I do agree - the plot thickens :)

It's getting so great- isn't it? I was just starting to like Juliet and hoped that she was really this lost person also....now I'm sure that there's some dark secret reason that she's at the camp and "helping" Clair. I think they need more subjects for their research and since Jin is pregnant she'll probably be taken next. I think Juliet is there to spy and find out who- if anyone- is pregnant. If she can get her research done and achieve her purpose for being on the island then maybe they have promised to let her go. I'm sure there's some other way off the island other than the submarine. Maybe helicopters- I don't remember the Russians....

First of all - I think Juliette is doing what Ben says because she's still stupid enough to think she's getting off the Island. No one is getting off the Island, because then they could tell others people what's going on. No good criminal (and Ben is GOOD) would ever let someone go who could finger him - which is why Walt and Michael are still around there somewhere; they wouldn't let them go. And yes, they're going to try to experiment on Claire; that's their whole purpose, to see why she lived. But my question is, if all the women died when they had babies, and Alexandra is the child of the French chick and Ben, well - where the hell was she born? And how? According to the French chick, she's been there for over 16 years, so how did she have a baby? And by the way, Jin isn't pregnant - Sun is. If Jin is pregnant, then I'm claiming to be the "daddy" since Jin is the husband.

I don't trust Juliet at all now! Throughout the episode I was starting to trust her and feel sorry for her. Especially after she "helped" Claire. But then I saw her flashback with Ben. SHE'S EVIL!!!!!!!! And her creepy smile at the end scared the heck out of me!
And I'm not sure if the scientists you're refering to were Russian. ( I think they were speaking Portugese.) I don't know what nationality they are. But I have a strong feeling that after they called Penelope she's going to end up on the island. She's looking for Desmond and I hope she finds him!
And, yes, the woman they phoned was definitely Penenlope Widmore. They called her Miss Widmore and she had the infamous picture of her and Desmond on her nightstand.

Seems like the plot is thickening... finally. It was dragging for a while, but I think Juliette will ultimately turn out to be a good person, probably because of an attachment to Jack. I heard the helicopter too. Guess we'll just see what happens next.

Hip Hop, Rousseau was pregnant when she came to the island and gave birth not long after, so it did not have time to affect her at all. And Ben is not the father, he is a father figure.
I don't trust Juliet at all. She is a female Ben and I don't trust him either. She has infiltrated the group, I just hope Sawyer and Sayid don't trust her at all still and keep an eye on her.
I heard a helicopter, I'm hoping its Penny finding the island.

i don't trust juliette at all, even though she's also being kept there against her will. i think ben has seriously brainwashed her, and now that she's been "left behind" with the survivors, she's going to be causing a lot of problems.

i wanna know what Juliet did to Jack that even made him consider trusting her???
She has done NOTHING to earn his trust and 'protection'!
I was screaming at the TV set all last night "JACK, you dumba$$... She's Evil!" And sure enough....
Oh well....
