You did have Rh negative blood (always have) - when a woman who is Rh negative has her first baby and that baby is Rh positive, the mother develops antigens that could harm her second baby, no matter if the second baby is Rh negative or positive. You will get a shot when you are about 10 weeks pregnant or so (if I remember correctly) that takes care of it. Trust your doctor on this. I'm not a medical professional, but I am Rh negative Mom who had an Rh positive baby first, and an Rh negative baby after that - both are great!

What probably happened is that her first child also had Rh negative blood, which would not have presented a problem for her and therefore not necessitated treatment. Her second child probably has Rh positive blood, which is why she needs to undergo preventive treatment this time around.

Your blood type doesn't change.
They probably missed it the first time. Or that child had - blood - (no need for a shot after birth).
I have three kids, I have RH -. The first kid has + blood - had to get a shot after he was born. The second and third both have - blood - no shot after birth.
With all three though, I had to get a shot during pregnancy.

Your blood type does not change. So, perhaps they didn't catch the fact that the mom had rh negative blood during the first pregnancy?

she would be waiting to ought to get a undeniable shot at a undeniable element in her being pregnant to maintain her physique from attacking the unborn toddler as a much off places merchandise, so as that she would have the ability to proceed the being pregnant. i'm uncertain in the event that they continuously propose the shot for first pregnancies in a woman with Rh- blood, yet a powerful buddy of mine has Rh- blood and that's her first being pregnant and he or she additionally has to have the shot. Your spouse will ought to get the shot for each being pregnant after this one for particular to confirm the risk-free practices of the toddler. solid luck!
