My truck was stolen over night while I was draining the oil. So it was without oil at all. It was found and I suspect the thiefs used a towing... If not, how long or how far could a 350 motor run without oil in it ???

It would run until the motor seized. I would bet it could go 10-15 miles if not high speed. Wouldn't sound good!
How far away did you find it?

I had a 79 Ford Fairmont that ran out of oil soon after I bought it. 200 straight six I believe?? I didnt know it used a quart a week. I heard the valves tapping at 70 mph interstate. I drove another 5 miles or so until I got to where I was going. Put 5 quarts in (BONE DRY!) and drove the car another 3-4 years until I sold it, no further problems.

Damage would start shortly after vehicle was started, if you used a synthetic oil it may last a tad longer. Fill it with oil and check it out, if you have comprehensive insurance on the vehicle it should be covered.

2 miles maybe. Damage would occur almost right away.
