Any appeal will be referred to the 3rd umpire, if there is any doubt in the mind of the field Umpire whether the appeal is genuine or not. It is not mandatory to refer all appeals to 3rd umpire for decision. If the umpire has no doubt, he needl not refer any matter to 3rd umpire.

well...Sri Lanka finally won the match minus Lasith Malinga as well.as Styriss from NZ says "we're going to take it as a learning expierence" & i'm sure they will.so,next time,teams beware,because NZ will make a good comeback.i'm sure! esp Sri Lanka. but well played for the SL Lions! CONGRATS!
hope they continue this form! esp Jayasuriya,Sangakkara,Murali & Vaas! :)
