to tell the truth I've never been 100% sure on the whole meaning of it but it doesn't seem like anything new just another clique with their music style and clothes I must say I do love the hair though

I think it's just another label that teenagers made up so they don't have to say they are goth.. I think it's just a phase and ppl will grow out of it. NO BIG DEAL

that's just the rock style that's "in" right now.
every decade has their own defining style of rock music, and emo's time happens to be now.

Term used by Goths to insult those who try to follow suit...it's no longer original to look like that, so there is no other defense for them I guess.
