i took a home pregnancy test and the negative line was very bold and seen very clearly but in the pregancy space, the line was very faint. like you could only see it if held close to the face. am i pregnant or not?

I would get a better test. Maybe go to the doctor and get pregnancy test done there.

Usually if you get any sort of line in the "pregnant box", it means that HCG has been detected in your urine and you are most likely pregnant. Even a faint line means that something is there. Wait a week and try testing again. HCG levels double every two days, so that line should be as bold as the first one this time. Good luck!!!!!!!!!

Usually, a line is a line no matter how light. If this is a +/- type test, the negative line will always come up. Most likely you are pregnant, but i would wait a couple days and take another to be sure.

If you see any line at all it is positive no matter how faint it in. Congratulations. You should call your Dr. They will do a blood test to confirm. The blood test can dect witin 5 days of conception. If you are not ready to call your Dr yet you could always do another test. I would suggest your first morning urine because the HCG level will be much more concentrated at the time. Good luck and congratulations again!

with my 2nd baby i had the same problem for about a week. i couldnt tell if the line was there or not. i ended up taking a ClearBlue Easy Digital pregnancy test and it said "Pregnant" so I would wait about 3 days and take a digital test. if it says no and you still think you are pregnant ask your doctor to do a blood test which are more accurate. Even a faint line can mean positive, wait 3-4 days or a week and retest. Do the test early morning , its a known fact that the first morning urine has the most hormones in it.

I would say yes. Any line at all in the pregnancy box would indicate pregnancy. I would take a more definitive test, like a digital one that says "pregnant" or "not pregnant".

Take another one, to be sure.I took three with my last pregnancy, because the first 2 were negative but I was sure I was pregnant, so I did a third one and it was positive.

You are probably pregnant. Most of those tests say that if there is any second line at all, you're pregnant. Wait two more days and test again...

I would guess not. Take another test to double check. If the second test comes back negative, you're not pregnant. If the second test comes back positive, I'd go to the doctor to get confirmation.
