Yes, being either overweight or underweight reduces the chances of getting pregnant. Both also make for a riskier pregnancy.

Yes, it can have a large role in it. But i it doesn't hold all women back .... I have known many 3-450 lbs women having several children, same with 75-100 lb women.
If your over weight try to lose some, get more active, and see if it doesn't help, If your underweight Try to bulk up a little. In both cases eating regularly is a MUST
It is also harder to deliver and carry the baby if you are under or over weight.

it may or it may not. i'm a little overweight and the doctor told me to lose a few pounds before i got pregnant. after one miscarriage and 3 years since that, we went to a fertility place to learn that it was on my husband's end and that's why we weren't getting pregnant. there is risk for being overweight, but as long as you are eating healthy, it shouldn't be a problem. we got an iui done and am now 7 weeks pregnant (worried as it comes up on 8 weeks, because that's when i had the miscarriage) but doing good so far. good luck.

I am considered obese (hate that word) and we were trying to get pregnant with no luck. I lost 25 pounds, and got pregnant almost immediately. I have heard that miscarriages are more likely if you're overweight. But, knock on wood, everything is going well with my pregnancy so far. I think weight can be an issue, but it doesn't rule it out.

Yes, too heavy or too light can cause infertility. But, it might not be the cause. For instance, lots of overweight women have polycystic ovaries (PCOS) - part of the symptoms involves not being able to lose weight. It is best to see a doctor or endocrinologist to assess your fertility. Good luck! :)

Yes! And I say this because it is medically known and because I was heavier with my second child than for my first. It was much more difficult to deliver the second child than the first. Here are some sites I found for you.

I've heard from people that if you are super obese or super skinny that you will have problems getting pregnant. One reason is because your cycle and ovualation is messed up becasue of the extra weight or not enough body fat.
