are actually enemies. Is this true? Or was this a lie created by the inventors of these shows to create a dedicated audience? I need to know, since I am very curious about this.

I doubt enemies...some like Star Trek, some like Star Wars...
and a whole bunch, like me, love both.
Both are great sci-fi; they just go about it in a different way. Both are excellent.

I love Star Trek, but I love Star Wars more. I my opinion Star Trek obviously came first but Star Wars was better. This is not to take anything away from Star Trek though, and I think that the different fans should not be enemies because they are both brilliant works of science fiction.

I know plenty of people who are huge fans of both. I also know a lot of people who think the original Star Trek is the only "real" Star Trek and that the first three Star War movies were better than the the last three made.
I haven't seen any street fights between Starfleet and stormtroopers.
Also, on the original Star Trek, the guys in the red shirts were always the ones who died. In Star Wars, the stormtroopers never hit anyone they were shooting at. So who would win in a war between the red shirrts and the stormtroopers?

Many fans of one are fans of the other. Personally I am a Star Wars fan and do not like Star Trek at all but I am not enemies with them. I am sure some people do go so far as to pull that crap, but mostly, everyone gets along.

I think they are philosophically opposed.
Star Wars has a deeper fantasy and religious element to it (the force, knighthood, swords).
Star Trek is more humanistic and science fiction oriented, we stumble and always struggle towards the angels of our nature.
I am sure you get super nerds who only want one (after all how much can you spend on toys).
Are there gang fights between the two factions, pro bally not, but I bet there are some fierce message boards going down.
Which side am I on? I am a Doctor Who fan!!!!!

yeah alot of vids on youtube have star trek VS. Star Wars
but realistically, they aren't enemies, it's all cool.
personally, i like watching those vids, they're funny, but i have nothing against star trek fans
that doesn't mean that there aren't fans that hate each other. there probably are, but most fans aren't enemies.

all i can say is that i am a trekker and a star wars fan...i like both of them, however i don't hate someone just because they like star wars more than star trek....i think whoever told yout his was lying....
