All my life I've never been able to wear the older type watch, I can wear digital of course. I've heard other people can't keep time either, why is this?

There are three main failure causes for mechanical watches.

1. The watch is built cheaply. If you bought the cheapest you could find, this is probably the cause.

2. Mechanical shock or water leakage.

3. Magnetization. Some areas like Sedona, Arizona, have unusually strong natural magnetic fields. Your watch is too close to powerful magnetic fields such as from audio speakers, laboratory equipment, MRI and other medical scanners, or powerful radio transmitters.

Cause they need to be service regulary to work reliably. And even when they work well, mechanical watches keep lousy time compared to even the cheapest digital or quartz watch.

You are putting out counter productive vibes. Not uncommon. Some have the same problem with digital watches.
