Removal of foreskin from Penis is circumcision.
Yes, not only Egyptian orthodox, but lot of people undergo circumcision.
Now a days much is being talked of Male circumcision, HIV prevention and communication challenges.
Recent research finds that male circumcision significantly reduces a man's risk of acquiring HIV.
Scientists are working to understand all the issues that male circumcision raises for communities in high-prevalence countries, to make sure the issues are discussed at community level, and to ensure full community participation.

Circumcision is a surgical operation, often done for religeous purposes among others, where the foreskin is removed from the penis.
Egyptian Orthodox is one of the many churches who preach compulsory circumcision.

When erect/hard both circumcised and uncircumcised penises look alike. (the foreskin slides back)
Here's an illustration showing them when soft/flaccid:

And here's information:
http://www.cirp.org/pages/anat/
New studies (from this month) have found that it reduces sensitivity and sexual pleasure, and increases masturbation difficulty (see link below for the study). In addition, the USA is the industrialized nation with the highest HIV rate, and we also have the highest circumcision rate (although it's going down, like in most countries: Europe/Asia/Latin America doesn't circumcise and they have lower HIV rates; unlike Africa we shower). Again, see the following link.
