Jesse Jackson,1984 NYC is "himeytown".
AL Sharton,Africans were into math and science "before those Greek homos got a hold of it".

And this barely scratches the surface.

Why dont they want to talk about "bigoted" or "hateful" language by blacks?

Double standard. It's okay for one group and not for another.

I can't stand people like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson! By the way, I wonder why the hell Sharpton thinks that the Africans were into math and science "before those Greek homos got a hold of it". If he's talking about the Egyptians, the math they used to build the pyramids wasn't that complicated and their astronomy wasn't as sophisticated as that of the Babylonians. One area in which they really did shine, though, was medicine, and some of their medical knowledge was transmitted to the West by the Greeks and the Arabs. As far as everything else goes, though, the Greeks had the Egyptians beat!

I do, but have tired of doing it.

It is the media, specifically the liberal media (no myth) and the Democratic Party that perpetually legitimize Jackson and Sharpton.

I don't understand the need of the media and the Democrats to believe that blacks are some monolithic beast that has leaders and spokesmen, instead of being individuals with individual thoughts and beliefs. These people actually perpetuate the image that blacks are some kind of herd animal, and that any straying from the accepted liberal path is a race betrayal, or a show of subservience.

This is the same media and Democrtic party that go on and on whenever there is a racial incident by a white, but never even mention in passing any racial incidents by blacks.

Because it is more politically correct to pick on a white person who said some really ignorant thing. Imus needs to go. He is a bigoted person against all, he called one Jewish Reporter a beanie wearing Jew. Nobody said a thing about it. He is so outdated it's ridicules. The first time a heard a black person call other black people the N word, I could not believe it. He was a black Comedian. I no longer watch the Comedy Channel, nor do I listen to anything Imus has to say. Trash talk no matter who talks it, is unacceptable in today's society.

There is bigotry and racism from people of all races. and it is not right from any of them. People like Sharpton and Jackson tend to get a free pass in the media because the media is controlled by Liberals. If we had a fair and balanced media, Nobody would get away with making comments like that, but that doesn't mean that Imus should be let off the hook just because other are.

That's a fair question, to which I don't know the answer. Having said that, I've noticed a lot of conservative hypocrisy surrounding this sort of thing as well: lots of you refuse to talk about Imus's remarks, preferring to change the subject to rap artists or, in your case, racist remarks made by people who happen to be black. Selective indignation seems to work both ways.

It does get talked about.....just not that often and usually in response to Jesse or Al saying that white people are racist.

We all have the potential to be racist and bigots.

As for double standard: I call a black guy the n word, he calls me honky/cracker/hillbilly/etc. Who would be condemned more by the general public? I would. Most people would ignore the racial words from the black guy and instead call for me to get fired or whatever.

Ofcourse, there would also be a lot of people yelling at the black guy as well.

There is an arguement I heard one time on Real World, back in the day......one of the white girls and one of the black guys were arguing about race or something and the black guy said "black people can't be racist".

I'd like to know who really thinks this in today's age.

Double standards exist everywhere.....don't you love them?

So nobody's perfect. Do two wrongs make a right? On the other hand, the media has absolutely lost it's mind over this boring story. What's the headline? "Radio Personality Says Something Stupid"! Why is that news?

Basically, I agree with you.
Imus's problem is that he targeted a specific, very small group of people with real names and faces. To make matters worse, he targeted Black women.
Black women are treated so poorly in our society anyhow. These young Black women are successful and good role models for ALL young women regardless of race or hair style.
Shame on Imus.

Point one finger forward, point two back a wise man once told me. It's far to easy to take cheap shots than take responsibility for your own foul play.
It's an election season. All the dumpster divers come out into the light.

So basically, you are defending Imus' racist remarks by pointing to others.

And if Jackson had made his remarks while under the employ of a major network, you can be sure he would be fired.
