No, your room is 4 yards x 8 yards so,
4 x 8 x 30 = $960

If you want to use the foot measurement, you would have to multiply 12 x 24 then divide that by 9 (sq ft in a sq. yard) and then take that times 30 to get $960

how many yards of carpet do you need to cover 288 sqare feet? You have to figure out the yardage and times that by 30 not 3

its going to cost around 1,500 dollars, with a good padding plus installing it, 960, for just the carpet, don't get tricked into a too thick of padding though
