Technically the moon is visible during the day (with the sun) half of the month (3rd quarter to 1st quarter). It's not something special.

On a clear day sometimes you can find the moon in the sky and obviously the sun is unmissable. Also during post and pre-epliptical events you can see both because they intersect.
