The diameter of the earth would not expand, but there would be increased volcanic and tectonic activity. This means that the continents would bump into each other more often and the sea level would rise because of large mountain ranges forming on the ocean floor. We think that that happened in the Archean period of the Precambrian because of the formations of rocks which can no longer form today.

If your theory were to happen, I believe there would be a shift in the continents resulting in massive earthquakes around the world.

Well. continents will crack and separates into pieces and there will be more than 5 continents (if it can be stabilized) ...if not.. u know what will happen next...ahahaha
