I know of 2 couples who have done this. They have both been married for over 6 years and the one couple has 2 kids. So yes, it can happen.

I'm not sure what you mean by "on the internet" but I do know several couples who met through online dating services who are in serious relationships or getting married.

I certainly think two people can meet on the internet (in a chat room or something) and then get married. But the relationship has to progress in person.

I know 2 couples who did this and so far they've been married near 10 years. They did of course spend a lot of time in person before getting married!

Yes of course. My husband and I met on the internet, as did my brother and his wife, and several of my married friends.

Yes. My boyfriend and I went to high school togther, my twin knew him, we had mutual friends and we even graduated together and I never knew him. He moved to Ohio from GA and then back to GA. So he was on Myspace looking for old friends and he saw me and he said he thought I was cute. I never responded to guys on Myspace but he had this really cute little dog in his picture with him so I decided to write back. Now I call it fate that I wrote back. We exchanged a few messages on there and then he asked me if I had AIM. I did so we starting talking on there. He kept asking me when he could take me out and I kept saying I dont meet guys of the internet. He then asked me to email him something and thats when he saw my last name. He then asked me if I had a sister named, Jessica. When I said yes, he said he knew her. I asked her if she knew him and she said yes...and that he was really nice and funny and that I should go out with him. Both of us had just gotten out of a relationship so I still wasnt sure. Mine was 4 yrs and his was 9 months. I had just gotten over it so I wanted to be single for a while. He was ok with that but he asked for my number. The first time he called I didnt answer but after a few hrs I decided to call him back. We talked for 4 hours! Thats when I decided I really liked this guy and I told him I would go out with him. We connected instantly and I saw him almost everyday. We have been together for 1 year next month and we have only not spent 6 days together! We are madly in love, we live together, and we want to get married when we can afford it....so yes I think so! I might have a slightly embarrasing story to tell when people ask how we met but I love him with everything that I have so I dont care!
