NCLB is a joke. to MAKE the stats work for the program they only used the top 50% of the children in the Texas pilot program. When you do real statistics and not just tailor made ones it is alarming how horrible this program actually is.. and to top it off guess who got the deal to sell books to schools in the NCLB program? Bush's brother.. yup.. he was the president of the company that got the job. NCLB is a joke with a fancy name. If you want a REAL program that gives REAL results.. look up Community School Health or look up School of the 21st Century. These are both fine programs that actually work!

A member of our family just transferred to Ohio. They don't even have text books for the kids at his school. His mother went to school to find out what was expected for homework and the teacher said," just do what ever". Is this what America has become? Just another step down toward that third world status.

I didn't realize that school funding was supposed to come from the federal government.

Oh that's right, its not.

Edit: If you really want to improve our education system, abolish the teacher's union.
