Nothing I need - but there's a woman in my street - single parent - struggling financially. I'd put it in an envelope with a note "from a well wisher" something like that, and put it through her letter box, rather than give it outright, so she didn't need to feel grateful every time she saw me.

An evening out without the kids. Just me, my partner, an evening at the theatre followed by a meal in one of our favourite London haunts washed down with a good bottle (or two) of wine. Probably have to walk home (about 80 miles) cos £250 doesn't go far enough!

I know this will make most red blooded males puke, but I would take my wife to a romantic Michelin restaurant about 10 mins from home as a surprise....She always gets me lovely things and I have no imagination....she knows where the money goes so would not expect such a surprise...who knows now I've thought about it may do it anyway...thanks for the idea.

I wouldn't spend it at all. I would buy me a few more shares in a developing stock, and sit back and watch my 250 double itself.

A train ticket to London and spend the change taking someone special to dinner.

I would spoil myself and doing something that I would never normally do. A free fall / skydive is about that price and believe me, the rush stays with you for a VERY long time.

With all that weight I would need a good diet plan like Nutrisystem or Weightwatchers!
