I had a miscarriage back in March 2006. I take many pictures of my four children and no "orbs" showed up in the ones before my miscarriage. Now after I lost my baby, and when I take photo's of my children, one "orb" can be found in the pictures at times. Can this be the baby I lost? Or is my house haunted by another soul? I moved into this house two years ago and ever since moving in, I feel as if someone is here even when I am here by myself. A fear comes over me a lot. And since moving in, my husband and I get irritated at one another more than ever. Our four kids fight with one another more than ever. There are many who say "orbs" are just dust particles or water vapors. I do not dismiss the fact that there may be spirits living amoung us, yet I also do not dismiss the scientific facts either. Can anyone please explain this "orb" that shows up in my photo's at times and also why I feel the way I do while I am alone here at the house. Smart asses need not reply....thanks, Kimmie

Sorry I had a typo with the title of my question....the title should say, "I had a miscarriage in 2006,..." not 2005...

The orb does not show up outside of the house in photo's. The camera that I use are usually disposable ones. But thanks for asking....

Thanks to all of you for your wonderful answers...I am starting to feel at ease and am thinking it very well could be dust that is causing this "orb" in some of the photo's I take....

the orb in the pic is indeed round. very circular! I was going through more photo's last night with my husband who is a skeptic, and we both found one where our kids are playing in the backyard and there is an orb in a photo that was taken outside in mid day..it is only one orb. I will try recording over night with a cam and see what I get in the morning.

Firstly, I am very sorry to hear that...

Secondly, you have to make sure you ARE viewing orbs and not dust particles in the air. This can be determined easily in several ways:

* Set up a night vision camera (infrared). This can be a bit costly, but if you wanted to nail down some solid proof of anything supernatural, this is the way to go. A night vision camera not only looks cool with its green tinge, but its super sensitive - like a thermo-based camera. Now, I've never known an ordinary thermocamera to pick up orbs - whereas a Night vision cam is known to pick up some weird images... so I can't be too sure you've got orbs on your recordings (sometimes the images will look a little distorted).

* Take photos: This is best done with a digital camera, as they pick up orbs (and ghosts) better than normal disposable cameras (or any film photographs), also you are able to delete digital photos - so you're saving money. It doesn't have to be an expensive camera, but make sure it's got good quality lens (eg: Sony Cybershot cameras). When you're taking photographs, and you catch orb-like objects on them - you need to observe a few things.
- Does it glow? Most orbs will appear to have a glow around them.
- Does it show distinctive movement? Real orbs apparently show movement on videos AND on photographs (even if they ARE sequence shots)
- Does it come out of thin air? Most orbs appear to turn up out of no where.
- What shape is it? Orbs are supposed to be round. If your orbs are anything between diamond shaped or oval - then its just dust.
- Is it alone? Orbs are known to show up on their own, without other orb company. If you've got more than 2 orbs - it’s most likely a 'pack' of dust. Also, dust show swishy sort of movement - like with an airflow. Orbs seem to have a mind of their own.
- Is there a temperature change? Some orbs are linked with ghostly activity, and sometimes only appear in the presence of a ghost.
What really sucks about digital cameras or photos though- they can be altered by computers and programs such as photoshop. You however are at an advantage - by keeping your disposable camera's photographs, you will be able to compare the photos.

However its important to note that with a photographic camera - you can get oil, water droplets or dust on your lens (or in front of it) . This can cause orb-like objects to appear on your photographs. What happens is: the light or flash on the camera bounces onto the dust (or oil droplet... etc), and the shine causes them to appear perfectly round and glowing.

Catching an orb on an infrared camera is rare, (if it IS a real orb). I'll suggest you watch the following (just click on 'em in order to watch - you'll need Flash Player though) , and note if any of the orbs you have look like the ones on the following footages:

Enjoy - and I hope these helped...

Kimmie:
First, I'm sorry to hear about your miscarriage, March 2006.

I do not know if the orb in your picture is your baby, who you miscarriaged. But, I have seen a real ball of light, which some people call orbs, so I have done research on orbs.

If you are still researching orbs, you can come to my blog and read about orbs.

Now, I do know about what is called, Jinns and people mistake these jinns to be called ghosts, and maybe you do have jinns in your home. If you would like to read more about jinns, I have that information on my blog and more links regarding them.

I hope everything work out okay for you, and pray to get rid of the evil energies.

The orbs are probably just dust or water vapors. As far as you feeling that there is a spirit in your house, that could just be you wanting to believe there is a ghost. Many people want to believe that their house is haunted and that can even lead to seeing or hearing things that aren't really there. Your mind may be taking the miscarraige harder than you realize. You may want the baby around so much that you are creating this ghost as a way to be with it. It is actually quite common.

Watch the ghost hunter show sometimes. They see orbs all the time and they are out of focus dust particles close to the camera especially when the flash goes off. That would explain why you don't see them out of the house. The dust is carried quickly by the wind and there's no flash going off. It doesn't sound like anything mystical.

Most 'orbs can be explained by dust or moisture. However, true orbs do exsist, but they are not ghostly in nature. It is said that orbs are just balls of energy transfered from a source, (like people, power lines batterys...) to the spirit, and thus allowed to manifest its natural energy. The Laws Of Physics say that energy being transferred in such a way would take on its natural sphere shape. Children often manifest these energys unknowingly. But, this is not to say that your baby is not around you in spirit, and other ways. It is likely that he/she is, but look in more subtle places.

Between you and me, if you notice more fighting and all, you should get a feng shui book and rearrange the house, paint, etc, to create a more peaceful atmosphere. It works great. and yes, it is mental, but it still works great!

its probally just the camara. but it seems that you have strong feelings over your miscarrige, maybe thats put stress on you and your family and causing you all to fight and be irratated. in my opinion, your home should feel safe, not make you feel uneasy. try burning alot of sage!
