I just re-read two of his books, Timequake, and Galopogas. They were even better than I'd remembered them. When I read the news of his death this morning, I felt like a member of the family had died.
He was a terrific writer, and a real American philosopher. He will be missed.
Something that I just remembered about him was that, in the 70s, a young man who was then in high school wrote to him that he thought all of Vonnegut's books could be summed up as "When all else fails, love prevails". Kurt Vonnegut's response was something to the effect that if the kid had only told him earlier, he could have just sent a telegram rather than writing all those books.

"Sirens of Titan" is also really good. Slaughterhouse 5 recounts the bombing of Dresden in WWII. Vonnegut was a POW in Dresden and hid in an underground slaughterhouse when the Allies bombed Dresden. He was a wonderful author. If you like Vonnegut, I'd recommend "Catch 22" by Joseph Heller, also.

Research Guides for Students.

"Student Researcher is easy to use, fast, and offered me everything I needed, just type the "Author's" name and or the "Title" into the search engine. You can type in a “Key” word or two, that will help also.
