Losing business I would suppose. I never shop there. The clothes are too expensive for the quality.
And it's just plain clothing styles.

the whole limited company has been having problems. We had our limited in san francisco area close years ago. Express has moderatly expensive clothes that is pretty poor quality. They also discontinued selling their size 12/14 stuff, so that I no longer can wear there clothes. Their clothing has become very trashy over the last 7 - 8 years. So i gave up.
And what is even more dumb is you can probably buy the same stuff at the New York & Co. store which is a sister store and pay less.

I shopped there for a long time a few years back, but they raised their prices, and kept the quality and style the same. I think thats probably why. Also, I rarely ever see them very busy at our mall. But what about Express Men, are they closing too?

I think it's like the others were saying: Their prices are too high for the quality of the clothes you're getting.
If you can go next door to Charlotte Rue or Forever 21 and get the same (or very similar) thing for a third of the price -- why wouldn't you?

Express has been losing alot of business lately, there are so many new stores competing with them, i.e., charlotte Rue, forever 21, old navy, abercromie and fitch, aerostotle.
i think the closest thing you will get to Express is the Limited, NY and Company and aerostotle.
Hope this helps!
