The movie consisted of about 4 short stories, and aired on Showtime (maybe other places too) in the mid 90's. One of the stories was about a woman who got an eye transplant but was only able to see for a few hours and when she finally had it done it was during the New York Blackout. The Name of the movie was something like "Kurt Vonnegut's ???? ??????"

Thanks

Maybe that part about the eye surgery wasn't part of it, but there was this collection of short stories that did have his name in the title and after about 12-15 minutes he would come back on, and give some details about the next story.

The eye transplant is an old Night Gallery sequence (directed by Steven Speilberg!) from the early 70s and starring Joan Crawford

You're thinking of Kurt Vonnegut's Welcome to the Monkey House. Book by the same name. Harrison Bergeron was one of the stories in the book and was made into a movie as a stand alone. You can still get WthMH on Amazon, but snatch it up while you can. Rest in Peace Mr. Vonnegut.
