People picketed and Imus got fired. Wouldn't it serve Rosie right if we used our rights to picket her? Isn't she the one who encourages protests?

You have definately got a point there, how come imus is being hung drawn and quartered, and Rosie is being treated like a maddona?? What imus did was wrong, more is expected of public figures, BUT he is being hunted by a pack of wild dog's who will not stop until they have ripped his life appart, the plug has been pulled on him, what imus said, is not of interest to the world, but Rosie O'Donnell, can shout her mouth of to the world that the American goverment are repsonsible for 9/11 ect, ect,, and she's climbing the social ladder and being given a bigger platform to vent her hatered and utter contempt to an even bigger audience?????? Why isn't she being hunted down and ripped appart?? Definately double standards. Yes, she should be brought to task for her action's, but will she be?? Probably not, but why????????.

You know that's a really good idea and yes it could work. If we were able to get large sums of people to pickets at ABC to get rid of Rosie the power of the people who supply ABC's salary could have to power to get her fired. Another easy and effective way to do this is for everyone to stop watching The View. Then we picket for Rosie to get fired or we will never watch The View again. I'll put a plan together and post it as a question to get more people involved. You should do the same! Rosie needs to be shut up!!

It wasn't the pickets that got Imus off TV - it was the sponsors pulling their ads.

I don't think The View's sponsors will be pulling their ads, regardless of what O'Donut... O'Donnell says.

Conservatives are too busy making the country work to protest someone as insignificant as Rosie O'Donnell.

You can do what I do, whenever I see a program, and I watch as little TV as possible, that I believe is off the edge of decency, I write down the advertisers names and later send them all nicely worded emails that I will boycott their products in general until they quit advertising on that program.

I have actually received replies from some very large corporations who state that they do not request specific programs but specific time slots. which of course I replied to suggesting that until they do a better job of picking their time slots I was still not going to use their products.

It does work, look at Air America, bankrupt in less than two years, look at the NYT about to go out of business and are selling off assets now, look at the ratings and advertising revenues for ABC, CBS, NBC and CNN, go into the proverable tank.

It does not pay in this country to support anti-american beliefs publicly, which is why you always see SOCIALISTS calling themselves liberals or progressives.

I have a cheaper solution. Doritos!

Just make a trail of Doritos from her desk leading into a nice comfy padded cell for her and watch the magic happen. She goes in following the Doritos, we shut and lock the door and BAM! She's outta here!

Sure....honestly though, the reason Imus got fired is because the people advertising on his show pulled their spots, costing lots o' money. You would be more effective boycotting companies that advertise on the View.

i won't be able to have self assurance all of us remains watching ABC..or O'Donnell . That she could have been fired , is a real understatement ! She could be tried for treason ! And so could ABC , for that matter - for condoning it .
