you will never know because the future is always traveling forward because when you as well move forward you are not standing in the present and the future is still up front. So in all honesty you will never experience the future.

How is it overrated? I don't frequently hear people talk about how the future is going to be so much better than today, just that technology will be more advanced and so on... and it WILL be more advanced in the future. Therefore, the future is going to be exactly what we know it is, and not overrated.
Whether or not advanced in technology thrill you or not is your own decision, but it will still happen.

I remember back in the late 60's early70's that technology was moving so fast we would have so much leisure time by the 90's no one will be working more than 2 hours a day. There was going to be vehicles that operated by levitation, robots to do every chore, computers that switch on and off everything in the city of immaculate self contained homes. Crime would be limited to electronic fraud. It was an endless world of relaxation, pleasure and fun. A bit like heaven!.
And then the Tories got in. The rest is history...........

No, only perpetually focusing on the future and various ideas of what the future will be like are overrated.
The future itself cannot be rated as we truly have no clue exactly what it will be like.
As the Good Book says, "Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof."

Existence is overrated.
... The future and the past are the same thing, except from such a finite perspective as that of a human meatbag. It is also overrated in any case.

The future is how we make it for ourselves, we have all individual destiny's. Its a q of where it takes us and how we live as individuals.
the future is all down to us the common Joe on the street, we should try and do something about it for our kids sakes and topple all the Govts of the world making a one world govt. Where the people of the world have a say on whats important to Humanity and the Environment.
the only way the future can survive is if we rid our planet of Multi nationals and giant global Corporations, after all its these MF destroying any future we have..

Potentially, yes. There may be some horrendous energy shortages there and more countries are going to have nuclear weapons. That is not a good thing, and that will be the future, alas.

Yes, look at all the programmes from the 60s depicting life in the year 2000 and beyond, compare this to what we actually have.
