On the contrary... you can't live WITH love.
Love is an emotion, and as such it is short-lived. It can never be re-applied in the same form twice and some people run out of re-applications faster than others.
It is transient and unreliable in any case.... and if left to its own devices it rots and takes the lovers down with it.... pitting their problems against each other yet denying them the satisfaction of avoidance.
The only kind of stable relationship is one that is based on reason rather than love.... as reason is far longer-lasting.

Who says so? Take a look at the world around you. There's very little love going on.

Love is as essential to our being as food and water.
Lone survival, such as on a desert island, is possible because the individual knows once rescued he has someone to go back to.
Yet, even if living it a big city, a person unloved and unwanted, is likely to parish in a very short while.

You most assuredly are loved. Maybe not by the one you wish to love you. Life without love would be pointless since love is what we are supposed to learn here. Trust me, you are loved. Parents, relatives, friends, siblings,associates etc.
If it is the one you have " hitched your wagon to" doesn't love you then you will find someone who does. I don't believe life would last long at all without love.

Depends on the person.If you rely on love as the driving force of your life and that love dissappears you've lost your purpose. But it can be said that self independent people can survive without it but not be happy.

If you dont have 'love', you doubt your existence. You start thinking, "Is there anyone who wants me? If not, why I am alive?"
Without 'love' you dont 'live'. You only 'exist'. So if you want to 'live' and just not 'exist', 'live' with your 'love'.
