yes because he is a very good pitcher. you cant base it on last nights performance because he had A LOT of pressure on him. with the whole Ichiro thing, first start at Fenway, and to try to repeat his performance from The Kansas City Royals. but next game he will probably be more relaxed and have a better performance.

Absolutely. Dice-K has had a great start to his MLB career! His first performance was pretty stellar. Yes, it was the Royals (not the Oakland A's), but he had some great control. Last night was another great showing, that just happened to be overshadowed by a PHENOMENAL complete game one-hitter by Felix Hernandez! But it was not a bad performance by any means. It's always "dicey" (I couldn't help it) when a Japanese player comes over and makes the transition to the Major Leagues and how he is going to handle the high expectations of the Japanese fans as well as the media focus. You can multiply that by 100 times in Dice-K's case with all the money Boston put on the table just to talk to him!

Yeah. Last night's game was not a bad one. 3 runs in 7 innings with 4 strikeouts. That's not that bad. It's not Dice K's fault that Felix Hernandez threw a one hitter.

Daisuke was brilliant on the mound for his first start compared to other rookies. He will eventually find his stuff and i think hes got the talent to be the next Johan Santana or Chris Carpenter, just give him some time,

Oh yea, Matsuzaka for Cy Young and Rookie of Year!

Absolutely!! He has six pitches in his repertoire, and he can get every one of them over the plate. He will win 18-20 games this year and silence all critics.

Chow!!

Hey - 10 Ks vs Oakland on the road for his first outing is nothing to scoff at. Oakland isn't a bad team. I think he's great.
