Many people truly believe that the weather spokesperson is accurate about what they forecast. Unfortunately, they are not God and you can't tell God what to do.
You want to know if it is fair? When the day arrived and the sun was shinning and skies were beautiful, the plans should have been carried out unless of course, something else came up that would not prevail carrying out the plans.
I am sorry that you didnt have a chance to enjoy your spring break, but hang in there because they might be able to make it up to you at another time and later is better than never.

Can I ask - how old are you ? I am asking because, with all due respect- the question is silly that I am genuinely surprised it comes from someone who seems old enough to be able to write.
Do you actually think that anyone is prepared to take on the responsibility to continue the event with the inherent risk of something happening through freak weather and people being killed?
How naive and selfish can you really be?
PLEASE !

I agree with you. As the weather men have told you the weedather will be fine, then there is no reason not to go out.
Do not let the weather hold you to ransom, if you want to be happy you have to make things happen, not sit indoors waiting for things to happen to you.
Phone some friends and go out with them, do not wait for a family that is scared of grey skies or they will never leave the house half of the year.

Sometimes we have to make our own fun instead of relying on others. This looks to be one of those times for you.
The tornado wasn't their fault but you and the forecaster promising no rain the next day isn't doing it for them...sorry

Please use a period once and awhile! If the weather didn't permit you going out then that's life. Would you want to risk you and your families life buy not being logical? Try being mature about this and just accept the fact you have to think of something else to do.

Explain them your point of view, how it affect you that these activities were canceled and show them the forecast.
If things stay that way then see how you could still do such activities but with other people! Maybe there are cousins, friends, neighbors interested in that plan that would be wiling!

It may seem unfair, but actually they're pretty smart.
After that kind of weather the water is still pretty choppy.
Don't always believe weather forecasts...not always true.
It's very bad to be out in a small craft when bad weather is imminent. (better safe than sorry)
I've been on very rough seas in a 53ft. craft.....thought we were going to capsize. (stabilizers saved us)

Life isn't fair. You have 2 choices. Get used to it, or become a whiner.
