I asked my g/f to marry me on my 23rd birthday and she was 19 (almost 20). At that point we were together for about 2 yrs and a couple of months. We have been engaged for almost a year now and we are getting married this New Years Eve. Hope this helps!

I was 26 when I got engaged - my partner was 29. We got engaged after dating for 4 months. We are still together --- we've been married for 12 years and have 3 kids.

I was 22... He was 19... We were together for 2 years before we got engaged, and were engaged for 2 years before we got married. So, for a total of 4 years together before we actually got married. We are still together, and that will be 10 years ago next week Thursday :) 4/19/97

We were both 25, that was three years ago, we're still together.
We were engaged for six months. I used to always say I wanted to be engaged for a year... having been through it, I've changed my mind and think that engaged is the worst possible state to leave a couple in, so a six week engagement would be too long if anything happened to my wife and I ended up getting married again.

We were together 6 whole years before he popped the question
We are still together and expecting a baby in November
We only got engaged on the 23rd of Dec 2006 and now with the baby coming, we have to wait awhile before we will get married.

Got engaged when I went away in the military. I was 17, she was 15. We'd been together a year. It lasted 3 years ('til she went to college) then we broke up.
Got married at 27, she was the same age. We'd been together for 2 years. It lasted 3 years, then we got divorced.
Got married again at 33, she was the same age. Our engagement was only 2 weeks long. We'd been together 2 years, We're still married after 10-years. It looks like I got it right this time.

We were together for 8 months before we got engaged. Knew each other for 4 years though.
Still together, we got married 6 months later, in March.
