Well, American Idol is not totally a singing competition it is a celebrity contest to. Last year Taylor Hicks did not have the best singing voice, but he won the show. But also Sanjaya has sung well the last two weeks.

I don't know, but it is sad. I feel bad for him because I think he really does think he is really that good. America is playing on his emotions, and getting his hopes high, then he is going to wonder why he can't get any record deals. If he does get some (like William Hung) then he will wonder why he isn't selling them. The judges should pick who is in the bottom 3 then have America vote out of those 3.

You and 50 million people have been talking about him since this season got down to the final twelve.
Being an American Idol is not all about singing. It is about being unique and drawing attention. For sure he does that.

I think that the reason that he is on is that the ratings for the show this year started to fall and they had to have some kind of controversy to boost their ratings. He is a horrible singer and he's the reason that I stopped watching the show, it is a train wreck and he knows it. Yet he still stays week to week while he knows that actual singers are going home.

I think America wants to see him go high and when he thinks he's actually going to win America voted for someone else ans so he will be crushed and sad for all America to see!!
And it would be a funny sight....or some people just feel bad for the ugly guy...

I'm thinking the same thing! i dont know why he's still there. People think he's cute. He sucks at singing! It's not about who's good at singing anymore. It's about popularity. Hey, i think blake is cute and i vote for him( he is good at singing). We don't focus on how they sing anymore=/

He has a nice voice but he just chooses horrible songs. He's still there b/c he's a very good entertainer and b/c voters are still waiting for and wanting him to shine.

there are radio stations that tell listeners to vote for the least popular singer in the compitiion...that might be why! but i agree, he can't sing!!!!!!
