I have done a lot of research on car seats, I have chosen to get either the Safety 1st Alpha Omega, or the Cosco Alpha Omega, they are both 3 in one Convertible car seats that range from 5-100 lbs. Since she is still under 1 year and 20 lbs she still needs to be rear facing, after she hits 1 year and 20 lbs you can turn the seat around forward facing, the once she is old enough and outgrown the 5 pt harness, it can be used as a booster seat. It ranges from $129.00-$159.99 You can see pictures and read more about it at http://www.walmart.com/catalog/catalog.gsp?cat=91368

This is my person opinion not to make anyone mad but here goes---Those britax carseats that cost a fortune are no better than my car seat made by GRACO or any other big name brand. Any carseat on the market has been tested for safety and wouldn't be on the market if unsafe. Those pricey seats are for mothers and fathers who think the more money you spend the better the product is and this is just not true!!! I am sure that evenflo likes all you moms and dads who think you have to pay more to get a safer seat!!! Anyway I m not meaning to make anyone mad!!!
Here is my daughters carseat. link below I love it!

My friend just bought a Britax carseat for her 4 month old and he can use it until he is ready for a booster. She did a lot of research and found that this was the safest seat according to numerous reports. It was pricey...I think around $275, but she said it is worth it.

I have read that britax is one of the top rated car seats. I put the website for you to view. I have also found a website that has some parents reviews for you to read through also. The car seat is very pricey but worth every penny.

The Evenflo Triumph is typically rated as high as the Britax ones, and costs much much less. Consumer reports often has it on top for safety, and as its best buy. We have two of them, both in a small pontiac vibe, that we use for our 1 and 2 year olds, and have no trouble with space, and have found it quite easy to use. Highly recommend it.

We have two Evenflo Triumph LXs for our ten month old son and we love them. My favorite feature is that I can adjust the straps without taking the seat out of our vehicles. The reason that we bought two is that they are kinda a pain in the rear to move from one vehicle to the other. I only paid about 130.00 for one of them brand new so they are not that unreasonable in price either.

i agree with the evenflo triumph. we have one for our daughter and it is amazing. it has top safety ratings as well which is the best reason to buy it. we haven't had a single issue with it and its reasonably priced too. good luck!
