You do because the fanatics think you're one of them.

Actually, I am convinced that attacks on Christianity in modern times, by Liberalism, has emboldened Christianity.

Take a look at how many attorney organizations have sprung up in challenge to the ACLU.

We have freedom of religion in this nation. Accept it.

Fanatics to not identify with other fanatics simply because of a belief in a god.
Obviously you could be considered a "fanatic" by your loaded question. Your question screams "I am fanatical about atheism!". You embolden extremist Muslim terrorists with your cause to divide this country rather than unify it.
United We Stand
Your simply hoping to divide and have America lose just so you can pathetically say,"I told you so.". Yet it will eventually bite you in the butt and something tells me you'll never understand this until your older or your IQ jumps 100 points.

I'm not religious, but that's a ridiculous thing to say. Basically, you're telling people that they don't have the right to believe in organized religion because a couple of psychos in the world might take that as permission to kill someone in the name of that religion.

Are we all to live our lives in fear? Hell, fanatics exist in every facet of life - religion, politics, sex, the loony lady with the eight billion cats who screams at the kids riding their bikes down the street - should those kids stay inside all their lives so Crazy Cat Lady doesn't yell at them?

Time to hold people responsible for their own actions and not the actions of others.

What are you saying? That moderately religious people (myself included, and whatever that religion might be) should give up religion altogether, just because OTHER PEOPLE pervert our beliefs (whatever those beliefs might be) into fanaticism? How ... Marxist of you.

Each individual is responsible for his or her own attitudes, beliefs and behaviors. Religious moderates, or anyone else for that matter, are not responsible for the attitudes and behaviors of others, fanatics, included.

Yep. A nut sent me THIS today:

Subject: Re: That Jimmy Dubya is a neo-con clone

Message: Wow, you're real freaking cool pal.
You have no religion...that says it all right there.
YOU'RE AN IDIOT!
If you don't believe that there is a god, you're a moron.
And you obviously don't even get the whole meaning of christ, and
what the cross stood for.
You say it's gross, but twenty bucks says that since you are a
liberal, you probably support abortion, and don't think it's gross, plus your
mommy and daddy you currently live with probably let you watch rated R
movies, and you probably think those are cool.
You obviously have no idea of what you're actually talking about.
At least I believe in something, at least I have a legit reason to
believe, and something to look forward to after I die.
What your party stands for itself is a horror symbol.
Please think before you type.
You liberals are funny.
But it is rather sad though, that your thinking is that blinded by
society's lies.

see?

You're sounding like Rosie O'donnell now. And that word "embolden"...I thought you could only use that when referring to enemies.

No. i do not imagine any of the conservative and evangelical Christians in this web site might want to imagine for a second that i'm "one in all them". They probable imagine i'm "one in all you". Being liberal and religious is an exceedingly good thanks to be hated by both area.

Yes, you are correct. The religious nuts are emboldened by everthing except facts and knowledge.
