He should. But he won't . That's why he's Al Sharpton. That's why he's racist.
The news posed an interesting question today. Does Free Speech in American culture NOT extend to whites ? Seems like other races can say whatever the hell they want about us ''crackuh-***-crackuz'', but god forbid whites even suggest anything about any other race.

Ignorance is not a Constitutional Right. He exercised his right to free speech but ignored that people have a right to fire him over it. Imus is history. His ignorant mouth got him fired. Not what he said was important as how stupid it was to think he would get by with it. That is dumb. Try saying what he said at work and see what happens. Any dumb _ss would know what happens. Al Sharpton isn't the idiot that just got fired from a multi-million dollar job with generous sponsors. If he thought he could say what he said and not get fired then he deserves what he gets. Imus is stupid. I could care less what he said but he should have been using at least half his brain. I relish Imus getting fired with glee because he thinks he is above it. Arrogance and ignorance get you every time. I am a Mexican-American and nothing anyone says can penetrate my beautiful brown skin. We aren't so weak we can't take it.

He and Jackson have more people to apologize to then just the Duke players. They never will and the media won't say a word about it. Are their sponsors pulling ads from their talk shows. No cause that would be "racist" Pretty soon if you cross a street ahead of a black person Sharpton and Jackson will be telling the world how you are racist. This has gone to far and anyone black or white and in power are afraid to do anything about it. These lowlife have no business calling themselves REV. anything. except maybe REV. make something out of nothing. Black people should stand up and say these two men are unless and out of control. When John Kerry made a bad joke that went wrong that was ok too. There is black local politician who basically stole money from the city and gave it to family, mom's boyfriend and friends and her mom said on the news it was racial. Please.

No, he is not wrong.
Imus is a vulgar lout.
But...Sharpton is the wrong guy to carry that torch. Sharpton is the biggest racist in this nation.
And...if Vicky finds Imus offensive, perhaps she can tell us whether Imus is offensive because he is white, or if Imus merely reflects the offensive nature of most gangsta rappers and Def Comedy Clowns.

Al sharpton is not wrong to attack Don Imus because he needs to set an example to all racists white people. Alot of white people feels the same way that Don feels regarding Black women actually black people in general. But keep that **** amongs yourselfs.. If he didn't say it in public it would not have gotten this ugly.
I know that alot of white people were laughing about it however, it is offensive to black people and Don got what he deserves. He needs to take a good look at himself in the mirror before making these ****** up comments about black women. He is a ugly man, this is why he is so angry. Misery loves company.. In a way, it should not have gotten to the point where he was fired because he did apologize.. If that's the case alot of white people needs to be fired too because I know that alot of white people have said alot worse things. But they talk about it with each other not when a black person is around.. Regardles it is wrong to talk about any race in that way.. White people is not perfect and blacks are not either etc..

I do like Rev Al Sharpton, he has aggression that should be kept in check. On the same hand I also like to know what others think, and by letting those like Imus and Rush speak we hear there thoughts.

Well, to be honest, Sharpton has the right to do what he's doing. But I think he's not doing himself or his cause any favors by displaying such blatant hypocrisy.

Yes, it's wrong. He's a racist who says far worse things on a regular basis. He thinks it's OK though, because he's black and he believes that makes him better.
If he were white he'd be in the KKK.
