Because they are sick pieces of trash. Kick his @ss out and make him get some counseling in order to see the kids. If he won't do that take him to the cleaner and don't let him see the kids.

I totally think men should be allowed to defend themselves in situations like those, where a woman hits him. He should not have to stand there and just take it - that's totally unfair. However, men are (usually) a lot stronger than women, while women's bodies/bones are (usually) a lot more frail. That's why a woman can (usually) hit a man with all her force and all he ends up with is a bruise, while if a man hits a woman with all his force she can be greatly injured. So, if a woman hits a man I think the man should be allowed to try to stop her. Try to calm her down. Hold her down if he has to. Grab her by the shoulders (again, not hurt her - but hard enough to control her) and let her know that he is serious. Men are (usually) strong enough to do hold a woman's arms still for a while, so he can avoid getting injured. However, if she won't stop, and he is forced to defend himself - he should do so. But he should be careful. I think men only should be violent towards women when he absolutely has to, and I think most men don't have to deal with that too many times in their lifetimes - if they have to do it at all. I don't think it's right for men to have to deal with violent women (trust me, I know a few men who is being abused by their women,) just because they are men. Men aren't robots. Men are humans with both physical and emotional feelings. Men can get injured, too. And women can get violent. It's only fair that men should be able to protect themselves too! But like I said - only when they have no other choice. And never use all of their force, as this can severly injure the woman. EDIT: @ Readaholic: men should have respect for women? Why shouldn't women have respect for men? It should go both ways. Anything else would just be stupid.

The men who hit women are weak. Same as a woman hitting a man.

not all men like to hit women, some of us never have, the ones that do are screwed in the head, and they are the ones that need a good beating

that is a question I have been asking for a long time.The only thing I have come to realize is that we the women who get hit are nothing more than possessions to these men.We are theirs in their minds and they feel we can be treated however the see fit.They apologize because deep down they know it is wrong,that doesn't mean it will stop-it never does,but they feel that if they say sorry that that bruise doesn't ache as much,that it is all that is needed to stop the hurt.Nothing ever stops the hurt,emotionally or psychically though.They say they are sorry but they never mean it,not really

I'm afraid I don't understand the question. It seems quite self-contradictory, as men don't do such things -- cowardly little boys do.
As for why...if you know such a coward, (a) I'm sorry to hear that, (b) consider putting distance twixt you and and him, and (c) perhaps counseling might help him to figure out why he does this, and eventually, to grow up. Should he resist this idea, it might be good to remind him that counseling is a more desirable alternative to lawsuits or prison.

Because they're not really sorry or they wouldn't have hit you in the first place.
They hit you because they're cowards that use violence to control women because they feel like if they don't have control over "their woman" then they're not manly. They do it because they feel bad about themselves and want to feel better by bringing someone else down.
They say sorry because they are hoping- and usually correct in thinking- that the woman they're with is dumb enough to believe it and stay and get hit again and again and again.

Some of the women I have hit hit back da**d hard. They are in karate with me. Don't take it. We train the outside to help the inside. It is all about what you think of yourself. Love yourself, first.

they are not sorry, if they were they would have never done it in the first place, they only say they are sorry because they are attempting to make you believe that they feel bad about their behavior at the time, most of those men end up repeating their behavior so avoid them and never look back....
