Other way around, who benefits from making Gore out to be stupid?
And all the other scientists?
Oh, big business does, the ones that might have to curtail their profits or their increased salaries to pay for the smokestack scrubbers or pollution control technology.
The ones who might have to develop alternate technology and fuels and may not make a profit on it for decades.
Turn your premise around and you have a real answer, not just some pointless argument that someone who is for clean air and water, is also bound to wear sack cloth and ashes for the rest of us and take a vow of poverty and chastity too.

See, people will always have to eat and will always have a mortgage or rent to pay. To simply assume that because someone is taking payment for what they do means that they are "in it for the money" isn't really a valid argument. You would need to do a financial audit (a real audit, not just how much is Al making) to see how much is spent on overhead, how much of that overhead is well-spent, how much is put right back into the same cause, how much is put into other causes, and salaries. And do a comparison of similar activities and individuals and see what's common for costs and salaries. You would need to see what kind of impact this "bandwagon" is actually having on the cause they are supporting, and that would require quite a bit of research on another level. Then begin to make a judgement.
Doctors, especially specialists, surgeons, etc. take home enormous salaries, and rarely will you find a doctor that gives a significant amount of their salary to medical research or to charities like Make A Wish. While they may contribute, they certainly don't reduce their take-home to make "what the rest of us make". This is deemed ok because their jobs are important, stressful and require expensive education. Do their profits mean that they don't care about saving lives? Doubtful. What about teachers and professors who spend a comparable amount of money on education for jobs that are important and stressful, yet make $40,000 a year if they are lucky?

First, lets get this out of the way,GLOBAL WARMING IS NOT PROPAGANDA.Its real,it's happening now,we can't stop it,but with effort, we may slow it down.America could make money on global warming. If we had a national drive to create cutting edge industry to curb pollution,we could become a strong leader in the field.Global Warming is a world wide problem, not just a political tool.Al Gore is not Jesus,he's rich, and famous. He has through his celebrity status been able to get press on this subject. If this thing was not a political football both parties could benefit from the effort they could make towards saving the planet and her people.

Gore doesn't have to donate money, any more than Jesse or Al have to donate the extorted money they receive.
"Global warming" is going to turn into a marketing scam.
Everything is going to be labelled "Environmentally Friendly" and the price jacked up 25%
sort of like how everything was labelled "Low Fat" a few years ago
sort of like how women's white shoes DOUBLE in price when they are put in the Wedding store.
It's all marketing.
It has nothing to do with saving the environment.
Gore found a niche topic that keeps him in the public eye - and on the lecture circuit - and has the benefit of making him appear humble and self-less.

All the government scientists around the world who feed off of grants. They have to support the loony idea of global warming caused by man. What a sham.

he's been on environmental issues for a long time. i wouldn't be suprised if he made a profit.
i think he uses the issue in a way that will get him recognition which can lead to money with books and documentaries.
Inconvienent Truth grossed Hollywood Blockbuster type figures. Maybe the gravy train stopped by Newt Gingrich compound.
If Gore had real concern, which he does, i guess he would donate money, can you prove he doesn't?

The only propaganda I am am aware of existing (besides Al Gore's film) is coming solely from the anti-GW theory contrarian crowd.
Namely in the form of 'The Great Global Warming Swindle'. The single biggest hunk of pure propaganda I've seen since the end of WWII.

all the hoods in America. Once the dems get in office the first thing they will do is raise the taxes on rich people and give back to the low lifes who get their money from the govt. So if you want to look at it long term, then its the poor making money.
